Reviews
Short version: Food is excellent (especially the desserts). The food is excellent. The food is excellent.
There is no atmosphere here, which is fine with me when the food is excellent. No wasted expense on ambience because the food is excellent
The service is perfectly good. No flashy waiters saying "Is your food tasting wonderful this evening?" or other bougie restaurant garbage. The focus is on the food, and the food is excellent.

Husband's new favorite place for county cooking. Great food, great portions, great price and very friendly staff.
Food is pretty good down home cooking the chicken fried chicken is really good. As well the fried green tomato sandwich is great!
Ordered to go for my bosses and I one day and was told to have a seat. Sat there about fifteen minutes, waiting because they were busy and didn't want to bother anyone. Around the 30 minute mark, still nothing. I had to rush my next person to their appointment so I had to leave without food. I called my boss to inform them that I still hadn't been served and I was in the process of taking someone to the doctor. This place is very outdated and seems fitting for the elderly only. On the other occasion I had been there, the food was dry and unseasoned.
Too much viniger in the ranch dressing or it was old and sour, too much viniger in the chicken salad and potato salad and too many red peppers so they tasted the same. Had to throw them both away. Picture of mashed potatoes showed topped with gravy, no gravy. And, this was my first time trying the food here because I'd heard great things from several people. I don't know if today was a bad day or if this an everyday thing? Very disappointed 😞
I hadn't been in several years until this week - used to work nearby. All the good stuff is still there: hot chips & ranch, baked apples, meatloaf. The ham, turkey, and bacon club is very large and in charge!
It's good southern food. The worst part is the ordering process. Everyone has to order at the register. If you have an indecisive person or a family in front of you, it will take a while. Other than that, it's pretty good. The hot chips are the best I've had. All were crispy and cooked evenly. Pretty rare for homemade chips. The grilled chicken was good too.
We decided to try it, and I found it to be an outdated restaurant. The floors had food on them, the tables were sticky, and the benches had food on them. I was not impressed by the food as I had to season it myself. I believe most things are from a can. My fish was lightly battered, but I had to ask for all condiments that would come with a fish plate. The cornbread was overcooked, dry, and not fresh. The desserts looked great, but the same pride was not put in the rest of the food. I could see into the kitchen, which is a no, especially when there is a stainless steel table at the door that was covered to the floor in grim, stainless is easy to clean. I would find it hard to believe the owner is there every day to oversee the daily operations. The menue board was confusing. I don't mind ordering at a counter, but the setup is confusing as you are not sure what to do when you walk in. It makes me feel like it used to have waitresses, but the placement of the counter is off. The positive is that it's not a chain restaurant and needs to survive as I was told it was once a great place.
